ON MARCH 3RD, 2016 AT 6:00 PM

the MakeShift Union will be hosting a meeting of Makers, food, and friends at the LBI Foundation of Arts and Sciences.  The evening will feature two showings of DIY Network's "Tiny House, Big Living" (Bunkerfish Design's TinyHouseBoat!),  live acoustic music, and a full gallery of work from the Noyes Arts Garage of Stockton University

One of the most important parts of The Makers Festival is fostering a sense of community and camaraderie among those participating. All those makers (past and present) are encouraged to attend and are welcome to bring guests.

Food is provided by those attending, please bring something for the communal table to share with the group. BYOB!

We're excited to announce that the Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce has invited The MakeShift Union to curate a handmade bridal boutique to be held in conjunction with the Long Beach Island Wedding Road Show on April 23!

During the Road Show hundreds of brides will visit the LBI Region on the search for professionals to help them create the wedding of their dreams.  After touring & tasting through the afternoon, the doors of the Long Beach Island Foundation will open for the after party featuring MakeShift Row, a live orchestra, a fashion show, food & champagne!

MakeShift Row at Hop Sauce

The MakeShift Union will be represented at the Hop Sauce Festival in a 50 x 10 tent hosting a handful of our Makers who have previously graced the inaugural Makers Festival with their talents and wares and will also be present at the 2nd annual Makers Fest.  Here, in MakeShift Row you'll find handmade goods of all kinds set up in a pop-up shop fashion for your shopping needs. We are excited to bring a little taste of some homegrown handmade to this year's Hop Sauce Festivities.

THE HOP SAUCE FESTIVAL

is the brainchild of Spice it Up and Jetty. It is a celebration of craft beer, hot sauce, local fare, music, and shopping. A portion of the proceeds benefit the Jetty Rock Foundation whose mission is to enhance business, arts, and culture for the future leaders of our community.

On Third Thursdays through Summer 2016, The MakeShift Union & East invited you to explore the creative side of the LBI Region! During this Holiday Season, we are invited you to the LBIF to shop a gallery full of artists introduced during the Night Market & Holiday Exhibit. On January 19, we will bid a fond & temporary farewell to the featured Holiday Exhibit artists!
